What does “vegan” fertilizer mean?Many of the products in the Earth Safe line do not contain any ingredients derived from animals. By using Earth Safe products marked as vegan, you can be assured that no animal by-products were used in the making of these fertilizers.

Do Earth Safe products have a shelf life?As with all fertilizers, the effectiveness of Earth Safe fertilizers will degrade over long periods of time. To ensure the nutrients are as potent as possible, we recommend using all of your product within 3 years.

Can I order in bulk sizes?While we do not currently offer bulk sizes as part of our regular product line, we offer Earth Safe up to 23L. If you need larger quantities we will do our best to accommodate your needs. If you require bulk sizes, please reach out to info@earthsafebrand.com – we’d love to discuss your growing needs!

Where are Earth Safe products manufactured?All of our products are manufactured in Canada – our facilities are located in British Columbia.

What is kelp used for?Kelp seaweed has been used for centuries as a natural fertilizer for its ability to strengthen plants and to help them build tolerance to stress (e.g., infestations, drought, etc.). Kelp is highly effective at stimulating plant growth by providing key beneficial nutrients, as well as trace elements and organic acids.

What is the difference between Baskets and Containers versus Flowers?Earth Safe Baskets and Containers is a granular, slow-release fertilizer that must only be applied a few times throughout the growing season. Earth Safe Flowers, on the other hand, is a vegan liquid product derived from sugar beet molasses. The liquid form allows nutrients to be immediately absorbed by the plant.

What is the difference between Kelp and Kelp Meal?Earth Safe Kelp is a fast-acting liquid extract that ensures nutrients are immediately available to the plant. Earth Safe Kelp Meal, on the other hand, is a granular slow-release product that gradually breaks down and provides a broader range of nutrients to the plant over a longer time period.
